Meet Dr. Robin Stratmann

Dr. Robin Stratmann received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1978 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston in 1982. After several years of practicing general dentistry, she returned to school and received her postgraduate certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1987. Dr. Stratmann received a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston in 2001.

In her capacity as a clinical assistant professor at UTDB in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Stratmann was instrumental in developing the clinical orthodontic training material in the areas of early growth and development and interceptive orthodontics, two areas of orthodontic sub-specialization that are keen areas of interest to her.

Dr. Stratmann is board-certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontics and Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Houston District Dental Society, as well as the American Orthodontic Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the University of Texas Houston Orthodontic Study Club.

In addition to being a Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the UT Dental Branch for 15 years, Dr. Stratmann has held courtesy staff privileges at Texas Children's Hospital, Herman Hospital, and Northeast Medical Center. She has also been recognized in Texas Monthly Magazine as determined by her peers and colleagues as one of the Best Dentists in America in 2005 and 2006.

Dr. Stratmann was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has called Houston home for the past 40 years. She and her husband are the proud parents of a son and daughter who are currently attending college and plan on pursuing careers in the medical field. Dr. Stratmann enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with her family when not at work.
